Debunking myths

There are many fallacies or myths in the bee keeping world where usually the “evidence” is of anecdotical type, or based on a statement that it is proven experience. This usually means that someone stated something soemtime which was then repeated until it became a “truth”. When you try to track the origin it is usually a deadend. Here we try to deal with some of the old myths such as “smoke calm the bees”, “Autumn honey gives dysentery”, “one must buy queens”, “Bees are aggressive in the autumn” “F2 queens give aggressive bees” and many more. If there is a need for yet another claim to be checked pls let me know, we just love to debunk unsupported statements.
